Interview with IT and Digital Services Director

"We've set ourselves the ambitious goal of becoming one of the leaders in IT and Digital Services outsourcing in Madagascar!"

We're delighted to introduce you to Rudy Deal, IT and Digital Services Director at Vivetic Group, on the occasion of the launch of a promising new activity! Rudy takes us behind the scenes of the company's latest major project: the creation of the Business Unit IT & Digital Services ".

In this exchange, Rudy shares his thoughts, the company's motivations and aspirations, and the challenges overcome to make this initiative a reality. The year 2024 is off to a strong start for Vivetic, as we continue to demonstrate our capacity for innovation, and reach new milestones. a new stage in his entrepreneurial journey.

First of all, who is Rudy Deal?

I joined the group and moved to Madagascar with my family 3 years ago. I have a double degree in IS engineering and management/commerce. At Vivetic Group, I'm responsible for 2 areas: the Group's information system and the digital services we're going to talk about today. To carry out my missions successfully, I rely on my team spirit... which I'm sure comes from long hours on the basketball court!

Can you tell us about your previous experience in IT services?

I started my career with a major French ESN, which introduced me to digital services. I immediately worked in the field of outsourced services with offshore teams in India, and I'm convinced that this sector still has the capacity to develop and even reinvent itself.

In 3 years, I've seen that Vivetic Group's DNA includes high agility (in its organization, in the services it offers). The creation of a BU dedicated to Digital Services seems to me to be the logical next step in the company's evolution. Historically, Vivetic Group has been one of the pioneers of outsourced services in Madagascar for nearly 30 years. The company has acquired solid expertise in IT and digital services, as technologies evolve and customers' needs become ever more specific. I'm delighted to have found a company that has developed and nurtures a stimulating entrepreneurial culture.

What motivated the launch of this new Digital Services BU within Vivetic?

Our customers ! Indeed, Vivetic simply listened to its customers and decided to do everything in its power to respond favorably to their needs. It's this famous agility I've been talking about, combined with a certain expertise in related fields (data, call, BPO, etc.), that enabled us to launch the BU. Our Malagasy roots also play an important role: the BU model is based on a breeding ground for local talent whom we support through mutually beneficial training and work-study contracts. Malagasys developers are very talented: I'm lucky enough to experience this on a daily basis, and now it's time to spread the word and let all our customers benefit!

What strategic objectives have you set for the launch of this new service, and how do these align with the company's overall vision?

Today we already have 120 technicians and engineers. We have set ourselves the ambitious goal of becoming one of the leaders in IT and digital services outsourcing in Madagascar.

What were the main challenges encountered in developing and implementing this service, and how did you overcome them?

The scope of digital services being extensive and scalablethe main challenge remains the ability to support the plurality of subjects, in terms of resources, data, equipment, software and services. Hence the need for agility and effective, coordinated project management.

Tell us about the main features and benefits of this new service, and what added value it will bring to your customers.

Our customers are unanimous about the benefits of outsourcing their digital services to Vivetic Group. They have immediate access to a pool of qualified, experienced and supervised resources, at a very competitive cost. They save time, as their projects are implemented more rapidly, thanks to our ability to scale up, and their in-house teams remain focused on their business priorities. They also benefit from a wider range of expertise, enabling them to broaden their vision and evolve faster. It goes without saying that we place great emphasis on active cooperation between our teams and those of our customers!

The IT and digital sector is constantly evolving. How do you plan to keep abreast of trends and developments in this field to meet changing market requirements and customer concerns?

Indeed, it's a real challenge on a daily basis, and we're well aware that our customers are waiting for us on these issues. To stay up to date, we invest in malagasy tech ecosystem which regularly discusses the latest technological trends. Active member of French Tech AntananarivoMy role is to bring together the main players in the industry around sector-specific events, so that we can share ideas, meet our peers and find concrete solutions to common problems. It's a real learning experience, and a very effective one! At the same time, we're constantly on the lookout for new technologies, and we have a Research & Development budget allocated in particular to POC (Proof Of Concept) projects on new technologies.

Thanks Rudy! The last word?

Here we say: " Alefa Vivetic! "That means "Go Vivetic! We're cheering each other on for this great collective project 😉.
